36th Infantry Divison - Reenacted

The purpose of Baker Company, 36th Division (reenacted) is to portray an average infantryman in World War II as accurately as possible. In doing this, all members are required to dress, act and conduct themselves as a soldier would in the Mediterranean/European Theater of operations from 1943-1945. This includes grooming, jewelry and even eyeglasses.

Members of Baker Company at Fort Washita, Oklahoma

Our unit participates in public demonstration battles and private tactical battles throughout the reenacting season starting in September and ending in May of each year.
Typically, we have one event a month and members are required to participate in at least fifty percent of all scheduled battles. The events we attend are located in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana; however there may be events that occur in other states, most of the events we attend and support are TMHS sanctioned events.

Since our impression is of a leg infantry company, the majority of our members carry small arms such as a M1 Garand, however we do field a number of crew served weapons such as a light 30 cal. machine gun and an anti-tank bazooka. Our detailed uniform requirements are stated in the membership section, they mainly consist of the M1937 wool shirt and pants, M41 jacket, leggings, haversack and M1 rifle.
